What is carbon footprinting and do I need it?
Businesses are increasing being asked by customers, investors and other stakeholders for their carbon footprint. This is a summary of the business's carbon emissions from its activities over a year period.
How long does it take to measure my footprint with Seedling?
Most businesses complete their first footprint within 2–4 weeks of starting with Seedling. The process involves a kick-off call, completing our carbon assessment form, and a debrief with your adviser. The timeline depends on the complexity of your business and the availability of your data.
What data do I need to get started?
Your Seedling adviser will guide you through exactly what data you need based on your business. Typically this includes energy bills, fuel receipts, travel records, and supplier spend data. We work with whatever you have and help you fill any gaps with appropriate estimates.
Is my footprint compliant with GHG Protocol and other standards?
Yes. Seedling's methodology is built on the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, the leading global framework for corporate carbon accounting.
