A 2-minute business carbon estimate

A quick way to get an initial read on your emissions across a few categories that are common to most businesses. It is not a full footprint, but it is a solid starting point.

Where are you primarily based? This sets the local grid factor used for your electricity.

Reporting period The year you are accounting for (calendar or financial).

A quick note on methodology

This is a simplified estimate. It deliberately leaves out several Scope 3 categories of the GHG Protocol, including purchased goods and services, capital goods, upstream and downstream transport, waste, employee commuting and homeworking, leased assets, use and end-of-life of sold products, franchises and investments.

Because of that, we do not provide assurance on this figure. For a complete and shareable footprint, Seedling recommends a fuller approach. Activity factors are based on DEFRA's published conversion factors.
